I just want to say thank you for reaching out. I think this is a challenging topic, and you went through a lot. I just want to thank you for being willing to go there with us.
My pleasure. I do recommend, if you have somebody with experience supporting you through these difficult, overwhelming memories, emotions, and trauma, that you work with them. It's incredibly helpful.
I did that for quite a few years, and it was extremely helpful. It brought me very, very far. Now I see where I am, and as I mentioned before, it seems that it's not so much the memories and the stories anymore. What's coming up for me is the nervous system. It's all connected. I think I've never looked at that directly, and I think it would be helpful specifically for me to work with.
By the way, I did look up the book in the meantime. It's written by Deutsch. He's one of many people who have written about this topic. It's very hopeful, and we're fortunate that this research is recent. It wasn't always available to us.
Exactly.
Finding skilled facilitation for bodywork
Something I'm thinking might be good: if you look at where you live, I believe you're about an hour from a larger city. In a city that's not too small, there will probably be people who are good at facilitating breathwork workshops. That might help your body move through all of this. It would be great if you could find a facilitator and do it with some regularity.
