A New Mystery

A student tries to articulate a profound shift in how they experience themselves, and the teacher responds with reflections on impermanence and the open flow of love.

There are so many things moving inside me. I cannot fully express it, but it is something huge, something so interesting. It is powerful and simple at the same time. It is another place, another way of being in contact with myself. It is good, and it is mysterious. A new mystery, not dominated by my usual point of view. I truly feel it in my body and in what is going on in my life. That is good. Thank you.

You're welcome.

Impermanence and what we long for

The more we see impermanence, and the more we are able to be with it, the more intense it becomes. We notice that the mind makes things permanent. Then it becomes easier to be with impermanence. When we are able to be with it, something opens up. I really believe that is what we long for. There is a love that pours through from us. What we long for is that openness, that open flow of love. And it literally is everything, everywhere.
