Sinking Into the River

Hundiéndose en el río

A gentle invitation to stop trying to change anything and simply sink into the flowing, ever-moving experience of this moment.

Sinking Into the River

Letting go

Just thinking, the sense of gently letting go.
Sinking into sensations, letting go of trying to do anything.
Nothing needs to change.
Nothing needs to happen.

Falling into thoughts as if thinking keeps us afloat.
No need to float.

Sinking into what is

Sink into this moment, notice sounds.
The aliveness and clarity in sounds, the movement of sensations.

We're always trying to change what is happening,
make it be something else we call future.
Just sink into what is happening.

As if for the first time

And just be curious.
Everything you know about this, as if it were completely new.
Sensations we call hands, completely new sensations.

Breath, as if breathing for the first time.
Thoughts, as if thinking for the first time.

If there's discomfort, tension, worry,
notice as if it was the first time.

Constant change

Notice how everything is moving, constant change.
Sink into the movement, letting go of the need or the attempt.

There's something that remains still.
Let all experience flow like a river,
let thoughts flow like a river.

No need to choose.
The choices flow like a river.
No need to understand.
No need to know what we are.
Just sinking, allowing, flowing.

Tension, discomfort, worries, let all of that flow as part of the river.

The sense of a center

Notice how there's a tendency to focus on thought.
The thought with a center, the thought we call I, me, here.
Watching the river.
Following parts of our experience: me and not me.
Sensations in the hands and the breath, parts of me here.
Sounds, not me, there.

Just notice how this happens.
All perception, sounds, sensations.
One field flowing, undivided.

It is the sense of me that constantly looks for a center.
