This meditation invites you to notice how constantly reaching for the future keeps you from what is already here right now.
The normal form of functioning is always looking for something at another time,
looking to get something tomorrow,
in the next few minutes, in the future.
Living that way constantly,
every waking moment,
to a degree it feels completely normal.
Because everybody's doing that.
It seems like the way, the right way, the only way.
Turning toward the present
And then we learn.
Some of us learn.
It's about the present, this moment.
What we're looking for is here,
here,
now.
