A question about sudden physical dizziness arising during practice, and whether it is common or cause for concern.
Sometimes I have this sensation of feeling lost, like a sudden dizziness in the head. I haven't done anything to cause it; it just comes on very suddenly. It's a physical, bodily sensation, centered in the head.
Is "dizzy" a metaphor, or are you actually experiencing physical dizziness?
It's a physical, bodily sensation.
I do have to say: if it becomes a recurring problem, if it's intense and repetitive, then seek medical attention to rule out any underlying issue.
But if you can gauge it as just a weird thing that's happening, then in that sense, it's common. The biology has mechanisms for orienting where we are, what we are, even the felt sense of the body and the head. When the image of what "I am" shifts, the brain also starts to recalibrate. That can produce these kinds of sensations. It's common.
