A gentle invitation to notice that what you are searching for is already present, and to welcome whatever arises without resistance.
You can choose to close your eyes or leave them open.
Two steps
All of this work can be condensed in two steps, very small steps.
First, we can see that what we're looking for is already here
and does not depend on what is happening.
That's the biggest step.
It can be said in infinite different ways,
and it can be a big step if we don't have faith.
The habit of not enough
All of our thinking has been trained,
all of our body and sensations have habitualized
to feel like now, right now, this cannot be what we're looking for.
It's not enough.
We can write books about why this is not right, not enough.
And we do write books, a couple a day, in our thinking.
Prior to all of it
The key is that it has nothing to do with what's happening,
has nothing to do with thoughts,
sensations,
perceptions.
And so what we're looking for is prior to that.
It's the source of sensations, perceptions,
and we are that source.
Free to love what is happening
And the second step is that
we are then free to love everything that is happening
instead of fighting and resisting.
The first step is where we focus.
Many paths, many roads to realizing
this is it.
Full.
Empty.
Nothing is missing.
Welcoming what comes
Notice thoughts appearing,
uncomfortable sensations.
Those are also it.
No need to fight them.
Come, friends. Welcoming.
It is guaranteed they will go as they come.
Bye-bye.
