This meditation invites you to notice the gap between what you sense is true and what you experience, using curiosity and gentle attention.
When you look, you might find in your experience that this does not feel true.
It does not, even if it resonates.
There is a friction.
Something seems to be missing.
Even if it comes and goes,
the contrast between the pointing and your experience,
you can feel that friction.
Exploring the friction
You can explore a new possibility: what if this was true?
Why is it that it appears that something is missing,
that something is not okay?
Bring into awareness the friction.
Look at it directly.
Feel into it.
Investigate.
Be curious.
A resonance beneath the friction
It begins with a resonance,
the trust.
Something intuitively knows this may be true.
There is such beauty in life,
such aliveness here.
It's calling.
It's whispering:
see this.
Hear this.
Hear this.
Recognizing thought as thought
There is one key, one key that pierces the veil:
to recognize a thought as just a thought.
A thought that is in the form of a sound is still just a thought.
A thought that is a memory of life experiences is just a thought.
A thought of tomorrow is just a thought.
The thought of myself is just a thought.
Thoughts are real only as thought.
A thought of tomorrow is real as a thought of tomorrow.
It does not make tomorrow real.
