One Space

Un Solo Espacio

A gentle invitation to notice that everything you experience — sounds, thoughts, sensations, self and other — is all appearing in one seamless, boundless space.

One Space

Notice the most simple thing:
everything is happening in the same space.

There isn't one space where there are sounds,
and another space where there are thoughts,
nor another space where there are colors and shapes.
There isn't a space where what is internal appears
separate from where what is external appears.
It's all one space.

The illusion of separation

The mental, optical illusion of separate spaces,
where sound seems separate from sight,
thoughts,
sensations.
If you focus on one thing, it might appear separate.

You recognize the reality that it is all in one space.
The sense and experience of past,
of future,
of why, of other,
all appears in the same reality, the same space.

Sink into this understanding, into this recognition.
Let yourself fall back into that one infinite space.

Self and other

The sense of I and other,
self and other,
as if there were two,
as if there were separate.

Notice how both self and other appear in the same space,
the same experience,
the same reality.

Let yourself breathe all into the vastness of this one reality,
one space.

Letting go

You don't need to hold on to anything,
to be anything,
nor need to understand anything,
nor need to realize anything.
Just free fall into everything.

Noticing texture and quality

Notice the different qualities of sensations,
sounds,
different textures and density.
Notice how they appear in the same space.
Different textures, different apparent locations,
and the same space.

Thoughts, memories,
images,
insight,
colors,
all appearing in the same space,
known by the same knowing.

Boundless space

This space is bound by nothing,
contains everything,
is formless,
timeless,
contains time,
contains form.
The pain itself and the other, past and future.

Noticing tension, focus,
and simultaneously, letting go.
No holding on, just this simple seeing.
Nothing else is needed.
